Congrats on your new project.
Formula Jr.s are great little close cousins to the Donzi 16. Very similar designs by the same boat desiger.

Do a forum search here on the search function above for threads on "formula jr" .
There are quite a few guys who have posted interesting threads on these great little speedboats.
Quite a few of these Forsmula Jr. boats have popped-up on the forum the last few years.

I also hope you have the entire complete Eaton outdrive~~~as parts, & complete old original first generation Eaton outdrives, are very tough to find today.

Keep us updated on your Formula Jr. project.
Good Luck !

Love those little boats. Got a guy local that has one in much worse shape that wants a lot more then you paid. If he ever comes down I'll kick it to the front of the line and restore it.

good luck on the project if you have any Holman Moody numbers I can try and decipher for you. block casting numbers would help as well. the interceptor also came in a ford 260 the timing chain cover usually has the interceptor serial number

To my knowledge H/M never used the series 16 eaton or the interceptor badged risers

I have a 65 Formula JR that I am looking to sell. Not sure where to list this and would like some help? It was modified to use an outboard. I will upload pics. Let me know your thoughts? I love the boat but to many projects right now

I picked up my second Formula Jr and I 'm starting on that project as well. Ive got the interceptor package as well. Except volvo outdrive.
Picked it up in the middle of nowhere in some guys yard. He thought it was a sanger. -- Nope
Love these little boats. My buddy owns a very old marina up here and he was going through old barns and came across "Peckerhead". Someone left in there many many years ago. Sorry, pics are a little out of order.74865748667486874867

Gerk,
Can you please describe how the floor on your Jr is fastened to the hull or better yet, send pictures of yours...want to make sure I redo mine properly. I sent you a pm (today) and started a thread last weekend showing pictures of my floor set up.
Thanks very much,

Unfortunately, my first was covered in carpet and it was glued down. The one I am working on now I believe the fiberglass was cut as to get into the fuel tank.

I can take a pic for you if you'd like. Heres a pic of my first one.74909

Gerk,
Thanks for the picture...it seems the floor does cover side to side and up to the bow too...not just under the liner like the older Donzis. Thanks very much.
