Did Donzi use a standard type style for their "DONZI" lettering?
Or did they have a type style modified?

It looks like a proprietary font to me but I could be wrong.

Near as I can tell the font used on the logo is based on Times Regular. I am going to make trailer decals and Times is closest I can come up with.

This font is as stated propietary. An extensive search with a printer has lead to no matches.

Some might remember that I am working on replicating the early decals that were done in a brushed aluminum finish. Once we have this completed we'll also have this script digitized and I'll be able to reproduce one off decals . . . :)

I hope Donzi corporate doesn't read this . . eek! :D

I'll keep you all informed.

Look at the font 'Engravers MT' if you have that on your machine. It's pretty close, but not exact.
Example of this font style

My friend Nick at Brainstorms advertising (Mainbrain) designed the present day type, when I went to letter my boat, I tried to duplicate the type, only to find it custom.

Thanks
I have Engravers MT and it also comes close to Imprint MT Shadow.
