Just picked up a 1969 Donzi Ski Sporter(C16505). I am now officially the third owner of this boat which has been sitting in a barn for the last 13 years. It was pulled out of storage a few months ago and had some recent work including an exhaust manifold, water pump, fuel pump and filters. Used to see these boats flying around Lake Minnetonka when I spent the summers up there with my Dad. Back then, we had a 17' Higgins running about 500 cu inches that was very fast in its day. But I've always had a soft spot for Donzi's.
The transom, stringers and structure look like they're in good shape. The gel coat is faded and has some cracks and a chip or two. For the most part the boat looks pretty original. There is a vent on the engine cover that was added to cover a hole when someone opened the cover onto the lifting eyelet. Seat covers are showing their age.

I've enjoyed lurking in the forum over the years, but now it's my turn to play!
