I would like to install a Depth Finder with Epoxy in hull mount.
Has anyone had success with any of the units currently available?
If so, please give details.
Thanks

So far so good with an Airmar P79. I think they say not to use expoxy, however, due to brittleness. A nice silicone works fine, and is far easier to remove if needed.

I may be wrong but the Faria SN2010 - Adjustable In-hull Transducer appears to be the same transducer. However , they have no instructions for the install.
Thanks for the suggestion.

I suspect you're right. Airmar is one of the few transducer makers and I think a lot of sounder companies simply re-sell the Airmars under their own label. Here are the installation instructions: http://www.airmartechnology.com/uploads/installguide/17-217-01.pdf

Faria does use the Airmar, it seems to be made to their spec

Thanks for the heads up, using silicone instead of epoxy is excellent.
Now to figure out where to mount the guage, I hate to drill a 2 1/16" hole in my dash, trying to think of some other options other than an ugly
bracket hung under the dash.
