Fully restored to better than original condition.
Original Holman Moody marinized 302; balanced and blueprinted; roller rockers, stainless valves. MSD, etc.
Transmission and V-drive rebuilt, all new everything.
The hull was in bad shape, so had some improvements made to stiffen things up a bit.
A rare one!

I love the boat, just do not use it enough in the 75 days of summer we see here in Seattle. Always garaged.

This is a really nice, really rare boat that was professionially restored to a very high standard - like better than new.

Good luck w/ the sale.

Think of how awesome this boat must be if Jay says it's "better than new!"

Looks like he still has the original slotted spoke wheel (along w/ the new one pictured).

I've said it before: you can spend a fortune restoring a boat (and plenty of us do, and that's cool!), or you can buy one like this (and make no mistake, there probably is ONLY one like this) and GO BOATING!!!!!

And Bill - does this mean you and I are the arbiters of cool! At least for old Ski Sporters?

Garry,
I was cruising through your pictures of the Donzi restoration and it looks like we have a lot in common. I also have an '67 ski sporter (same color as yours with the Holman Moody package) and my other boating interest is a sailboat ('84 Hunter 34) that I've done extensive restoration on. I hope to do a full restoration on the Donzi in the next couple of years but for now I'm using it to get my grandkids hooked on boating and skiing. Fortunately I'm in Mississippi and the sailboat is in Pensacola so my boating season is essentially 12 months a year. The photos of your work under the deck will be a great resource when I take the dive into the restoration. I noticed that you switched from the old style pilot's seat to the newer wrap-around style. Where did you find the new seat. I'd like to make the same change but haven't had much luck finding one.
Sorry you're loosing a boat that you put so much effort into. Somebody's going to get a great boat.
