While gassing up my 2000 18 foot classic, the screw that holds the chain onto the metal gas fill lid fell down into the gas tank. Can this cause me any issues? I am assuming there is a strainer that fuel is siphoned through that would prevent this from going anywhere near my motor or fuel filter? I know it's a stupid question but I am hoping this is a non issue.

Thanks. I guess I can stop thinking about it and enjoy the ride :banghead:

There should be a screen covering your pick-up tube in fuel tank.
Not a lot to worry about.

Thanks Gene. I'm sure you're right. It's been running great and I will soon stop thinking about it, until the next stupid thing happens.
