The fittings on the grab rail for my '67 16 ski sporter are a little corroded and pitted. I haven't been able to find the original style online. Anybody have a source?

I bought some clean used ones from Wolf's Marine, in Benton Harbor, MI. I will check the next time I'm down there. They have polished stainless and chromed "something." I'll let you know. Do you need all 6 of them? Also, please measure the height of what you have on the inside of the base between the mounting screw and the place where the pipe fits through. Are all 6 the same?

I accidentally bought 4 short ones, and 2 tall ones, not realizing they came in different heights. It turned out perfectly. I used the 2 tall ones on the front portion, and you would never notice it unless I pointed it out to you.

If I could switch from chromed something to polished stainless I'd swap out all 6. If all I can find are more of the same "polished something" I might actually change to another style to get to stainless. I'll measure the height. Here's the best picture I have showing the height. It looks prety low but I'll get the number for you. Also included a picture of the style I've been able toi find on the Web. I'd rather stay original. Thanks for the help.

Check up forward in the bow right behind where the eye strap is bolted. Might be a number there. Or any serial numbers off the engine or outdrive. Two engine vents, non-louvered rear vent and non-slotted steering wheel. Might even be a little bit older.

Nice looking boat.

look for black lines or marks on the deck underside near the dash or on the back of the dash itself. the tag on the tank will also give a timeframe for the year.

the numbers were written however they reached over the upside down deck so the numbers could be inverted or vertical.

good luck

I found polished stainless items that look very similar at the "Ride the Waves" Ebay store and used the "make an offer" feature. 7 GBP ($11.28) ea. for the stands and 8 GBP ($12.89) each for the ends. Even with the $29 shipping it was less expensive than anything else I found.

That is a great deal. Better than I could have gotten at Wolf's. They are available in both 7/8" and 1" diameter for different sized grab rail. I believe the original grab rail on my Ski-sporter was 7/8".
