Looks good, how do the K-plans work for you on the 18? Did you have any other tabs before those on it. What size are they? I've considered changing to them from the stock Bennett's. Are they quicker and more responsive?

Honestly Steve they were on there prior to me. Fast/reponsive yes. The prior owner had supercherged BBC in there. No real data to share other than what I said before.

Thanks Scott, It appears your steering ram is a shorter and closer to the drive than mine which could cause problems for me as well, mine are 8" rams and stick out a lil further towards the outside of the transom.
Goodluck with the shake down tomorrow

Jay,
Your motor looks assume nice work and good luck this weekend. I need a new flame arrestor who did you buy yours from and what size is it? I don’t want to cut the hatch so I can go with anything up to 4” and still have clearance to close.

All went well until throttle issue. Worked and worked till late late. Could not get it to set back to idle. Looks like cable/control box. Lets jus say nothing is open at 0200.

"Looks good, what prop are you going to run?"

Big Grizz had me on a 27. Man it ran straight and flat but engine ran bad. I got 4600 rpm out of it but no real speed.

MARVAIR let me use his 25. I still have that so I will start there. I'm thinking a 23 might be in order but we shall see.

So this is a +370 HP engine on dyno. Ran today 55 /4k rpm wot. 25p prop. Carb having issue getting back to idle speed. 25-26 sec delay. Dropped to a 23p prop ahter run. Will see results tomorrow.

Got some kinks to work through, but at speed the engine is solid. Purrr like kitty. Idle not so much.

Thinking air leak somewhere cause for rough idle.

This should be +65 mph boat. Ideas?

sounds like you have a crossed ignition wire and or a fouled sparkplug..

Can you elaborate?
