These are not mine, but thought they might be of interest to some folks here. They are NEW older-style MerControl single-engine dual-lever controls. And the price is right. Most Donzis call for side mount controls, but some might use these, and with all the other vintage boats we have around here...

The ad says "outboard" but best I can tell that's meaningless, just a function of the seller being largely an outboard shop.

I think that is the same control my 1979 Martini had with the shorter shifter. Nice control. Bill

Yes, I think so, or close. I'm hoping it's identical, though I think yours might have had an even shorter shift lever, maybe. But I liked yours so much I wanted one for the Cig, now that it's getting a single engine. Should fit the style/age of the boat much better than the newer ones. Could have gone to a single-lever Morse too, but I liked the dual throttle/shift and it's also closest to what was original (dual MerControl).

What Cigarette are you restoring? Maybe my memory is giving up the ghost (small pun) - lol. Bill

LOL, it's a a '72 24. More just a repower than a restoration proper. From inline sixes to a 496 single. Wanted to rebuild the sixes and hop them up, but when the transom cried out for a rebuild, I decided that was the right time to switch, if ever.

Yep, I remember now. That is a highly cool boat! 496Mag or HO? I would think the 496HO would get you to around 65MPH with a Bravo drive? If you were spinning left, I have a 25P Hydromotive QIV that might fit the bill. I look forward to seeing more pictures of it and the eventual performance. Bill

Thanks! 425 hp 496 HO. Hopefully we'll have some idea what she'll be like within a couple of weeks.

Spinning right...for now. Going to try a B1 first (I bought it with the motor.) Plan to go B3. But I'll see how I like the other one first, since I have it. My official guesstimate is 62.5 with B3. A little better would always be nice...
