Meet Mercury.

We picked up two kittens at the pound yesterday. The (almost) all black one purrs (loudly) like a motor boat - hence his name. Don't think I will bring him to Lake George - he might be over the noise limit! His sister is Hazel - named for the Watership Down character.

Kids are thrilled. All are tired!

Cute. We've got a black/white cat that also came from the pound that purrs so loud you can hear it from across the room sometimes. It's also ridiculously friendly/needy - you'd think it was a Labrador or something the way it always wants to be with you!

We've had one for years - no litter box for us! The cat can come and go as it pleases. We used to have one of the cheaper non-electronic ones, but then some local raccoons figured out how to open it from the outside and started getting into the garage.

Yup - Already spayed and neutered. The Shelter won't release them any other way.

I've never had a cat door before. Our cats have always been indoor/outdoor cats but I kind of like to know where they are. I guess I tend to micro-manage!

Here's a funny cat video my sister in law sent me. They aren't on skate boards or scuba diving (see Scubacat), but it is in French which somehow makes it even funnier.

+1 on the cat door. Best way to go. Wife not enjoying what they bring back inside though. (snakes, bugs, birds and lizzards)
