i am new to this. are there any major difference to the 16s as the years progress?

yes

in a nutshell the skisporter 1964- 1980 left hand helm lounge seating the very early boats 64-65 ish were not laid up as heavy as the boats made after that 1967 models didn't use deck coring

they stopped making the skisporter in 1980

from 71-78 they also made a 16 outboard same boat with right hand helm and an ob well

1980 to 1990 no 16's


In 1990 OMC re introduced the 16 and called it the sweet 16 L seating now on the other side to accomodate the right hand helm of the OMC drive then when AMH took over they added the 2+2 seating called the 16 classic the L seating version was dropped for a while they re introduced then dropped again mid 2000's or so AMH also made a few OB 16 classics as well

early boats tanks are a problem all versions reflect their care
