Raising the question: which one is more fun to drive?

I posted the picture since I was also amazed at the size difference when you get them together.
The Cig will probably carry 8 or 10 people fairly comfortably, but it is a monster to load and unload in the marina. I am actually a KISS (keep it simple stupid) kind of guy so I enjoy the smaller boat's fun factor more than the big boys. The big Cig is the kind of boat that needs a lot of thinking so it is not as easy, but it is also fun to cruise in big open water without worriying so much about oncoming waves. It is just a totally different driving experience. I have had and driven numerous boats over the years, and I can say my favorite fun boats to drive were my 18' Donzi, 20' Cigarette, 23' Eliminator Daytona and 24' Excaliburs - even the 25' Martini for a few hours last year. However, I have had many others that were fun to drive for other reasons than simply the ride and ease of operation. Heck, I enjoy driving almost any boat as long as it is set up right and dependable. If I had a budget where I could only afford one boat, it would be something like the 23' Donzi fishing boat I recently bought which has a little of everything I enjoy in boating. Bill

I frequent LOTO wih my 18 and do 2 poker runs a year there and all off the boats are bigger, the next closest size would be like a 27 fountain up to big 44 cats, yes there is a huge size difference when at the docks around these size boats, but we usually always get rockstar parking, we can fit and have anywhere from tieing to cat walks, to going under dock cables behind the docks ;) and we usually get just as many lookers or more than the high dollar bigger boats. I was docked at a bar came out and saw 4 guys hovering over my 18 as we approached one said man I have 2700 hp in my boat and this thing scares me! I asked why its only a smallblock with 600 hp and what his ride was he replied the 46 cig with twin 1350 mercs, and the reason the 18 scared him was " you actually have to drive this thing"! I said yep :) ya do

If I was boating off Miami I would want the Cig, on Lake George, I would want the Classic 18 (unless it was Sunday in July)
