does anyone know what the cut off date (year of production of Donzi boats) is for acceptance for their shows?

we were told 71 when I enetered my 16 and Kenny tried to enter the 72 cig as well, they refused the cig. hudson river chapter 2007 . I won best glass boat the cig would have won everything.

I did the after show parade lap around the lake but couldn't drag the boat around at the slow plow speeds the wooden boats can even with the tabs down I kept falling off plane. I gave up waved and took off did the second half of the lap at 55 mph back past the show docks. Was a big hit i guess after that they started fly-by's to their show.

I would say Bill knows more about the dates and I guess they moved the deadline. I was told the deadline was created when chris craft stopped making wood boats. I don't know it was dock talk after the show when the libations were flowing.

I enjoyed it it was a good show they treated me nice I had to help them judge my boat as they had no history on glass boats. I did get the they are nice Italian boats though, so we will need to school that crowd a little more.
Looking forward to this years show with the benchseat.

Awesome windshield on the Gravenhurst Ski Sporter. In my humble opinion, no matter where you stand on this oft-discussed topic, you've got to love that style windshield on that year boat!

Thanks George

Tony yes that windshield does add some style. just gets me that someone went out of their way to restore that boat but put the wrong decals on the wrong way. I have a feeling that is not a donzi but a shepard donzi. it is an early one for sure no clamshell vents( that would fit the shepard timeline and location) also has an updated 280t drive. still a nice boat
