I usually don't post personal stuff but this is truly inspiring - at least to me. My daughter attends camp in Maine and last September the camp director's wife (mother of two) broke her neck in a biking accident. She lost use of all her limbs and was paralyzed from the neck down. After a brief hospitalization in Maine to get her stabilized, she was airlifted to a treatment center in Atlanta. In five months she has made remarkable progress.

This story is truly inspiring and teachable, not just to me, but to my daughter and all the girls who attend the camp and know and love Beigette. I know every accident is different, but it is incredible the state of the art treatment available and the great strides made in recovering from spinal chord injuries. Another great resource is Caring Bridge. For those who aren't familiar, Caring Bridge is a website that helps friends and family of those going through serious health issues stay connected and offer encouragement.
