I have a 4' x 4 1/2' Double Sided Lighted Donzi Dealer Sign that is in great shape and all the lights in it work. I will be listing it on Ebay if anyone is interested.
Thanks,
Sid

Yes, price? Might look at buying it to auction off to raise funds for our Awakening of the Horses Rally, one of the biggest Donzi events of the year. And where are you located? This could be an interesting item to ship, so we should be able to arrange local pick-up to keep it from getting damaged and mitigate your hassles.

The sign is slightly yellowed, but lights up very nicely. I am located in Sebring Florida, home of the 12 Hours of Sebring Road Race, which is 2 hours from Tampa and Fort Myers, and 1 1/2 hours from Orlando, and West Palm Beach. I will accept offers before I list it on Ebay if anyone is seriously interested.
Thanks for your interest,
Sid

Well it looks like we've got a dilema on our hands. I'll be honest, I'm probably buying a new garage for the Donzi and Pathfinder next month (my first house comes with it:yes:), and I think that this would be a great piece to hang next to the 18. However, price is a factor. So...I'd love to know a price. I may bow out to Jim or Todd depending.

Thanks

Excellent. As you can see here, we have several gentlemen in line that will make for an easy transaction for you, as opposed to dealing with an unknown ebay buyer. But, I think we all would like a price. Thank you for offering it here first!

I have checked the web and found no other signs like this, when I had it on this site before I had an offer of $1,600 which was an insurance estimate to replace one that had burned up in a garage fire. I had offered it to this buyer for $1,800 plus actual shipping and insurance for $1,800. I will make the same offer here, plus I will crate it for shipping at no additional charge. If anyone is within 200 miles of Sebring, Florida I will deliver it for $0.50 per mile one way.
Thanks for your interest,
Sid

----I guess Im the culprit who set the bar at $1600. My insurance company went with my estimate of value on the sign I lost at $1600. That sign was nearly perfect, back-lit and all. This sign is also back-lit but, as noticed, pretty yellowed and faded. At the end of the day I couldnt justify paying $1600 or $1800 or any price for it as I felt that every time I looked at the yellowed sign it would remind me of the near perfect one I lost.
----Value is, as always, in the eye of the beholder, but I can tell you that these signs are really exceedingly rare as DONZI made every attempt to recall all of them when they went to a newer design. Wish I could find one as nice as the one that I had, but probably wont happen.......Bill S

this is just my impression but from the pics I don't think the sign is yellowed I think it was made that color(honey). I believe the sign to be from the mid-late 80's when honey was a popular substitute for the standard white gel
as an example look at this mid-late 80's 22. another thing assuming the sign was originally white why would the sign yellow uniformly and why in two shades the body is lighter than the logo and label. pretty easy on a physical inspection looking at parts that didn't see the sun if it is yellowed or honey.

just an alternate view

----Matty,,,I guarantee you its yellowed. Mine was much whiter. This was out in the Florida sun for years. I have seen the sign in question in person.....Its yellowed!......Bill S

the tin signs I have seen were blue and white, so I guess that is the sign's good side? the sign was white with black or is it blue that faded ?

honey and jack is the s#!+

----Faded blue.......Bill S

so this was exactly like the tin signs white background blue logo and in the logo the background was gold for the shield and the word donzi and now faded is the different shade of yellowed?

----Matty,,,As you can see from the one picture provided, the backround would have been white, or close to it. The surround around "DONZI" as well as the round emblem was a gold like tan and the dark areas are navy blue. The picture provided is somewhat advantageous to the seller, but I certainly dont blame him for that, as you or I would probably do the same......Bill S

I still have the sign, I did not feel the need to respond to any of the negative posts, the picture I took was my best effort with my Blackberry to represent the sign as accurately as I could. I have it stored in my warehouse with my Donzi.
That's about it.

You were honest about the condition the whole time. Some folks were just watching out for the members here. Good luck with the sale.
