Key West Hotels

I might be heading down to KW for a couple days in mid-March.

Looking for reasonable priced hotels.

Need a bed and a splash box.

Any suggestions.

If you belong to the VFW I "think" the VFW in KW will let you store your trailer there. Many hotels or B&B's don't have trailer storage, especially in peak season. Islamorado I could give you a few good but inexpensive joints with dockage.

There's a thread here smewhere about about storage at the public ramp at Garrison Bite (sp?)
It's been my experience that hotels are much more available in the stretch between Cudjoe and Marathon, which isn't all that far away.

We will be riding bikes down, no dockage or trailer storage needed.

Not sure if you are familiar with KW, but if not, there is a lot of value in getting digs somewhere near the Duval part of the world, unless you plan to do a lot of biking/driving/cabbing/walking back and forth multiple times/day. In my view, you can just barely get away with the "Southernmost" area and still be walkable. I don't know hotel prices and what's reasonable to you, but I think it is worth quite a bit more in KW to be close to the main draws.

Key West has a season, and I'd say it's in nearly full swing. The hotel rooms around the northern part of Duval are probably in the $250.00/$500.00 range.
OTOH, it's a pretty scooter friendly town.
