 Well - I figured I would be proactive and wish you and your Families a Happy and Healthy New Year.

I have been on an extended "leave of absence" and now that the "Bull Hamsta" is back with an attitude....I figured wtf? :smash:

So here is to the old friends and new, to the Bench Racers, Millenium Restoration Specialists, Donzi Marine, Donzi Direct and all the ever changing Players behind the curtain that is the Equity Group behind all of our big happy Family.

I think that we often forget...when we are busy living life, busy running the kids here and there, meeting deadlines and payrolls and all of the challenges that life has to offer....that the thing that is the one common thread that we all share is our "Passion For Donzi and the Mutual Commradery that we feel as a Family".

:spongebob: Listen we all have heard that you can't chose your Family...and that is certain, but the one thing that makes us unique is we chose each other...we celebrate the Legend of Don Aronow, his legacy and the Cowboys like Big Grizzly, Brownie and so many others who Fathered us into the new age of Performance Boating and all that it brings.

I think its also appropriate to recognize that we have legends amongst us now...people who's blood runs deep with the spirit of detail, execution and finish, dreams and performance ideas that just are not practical to produce on a mass scale....and thats what makes us really different. Frank Civitano, Parnell, Pearson, Geo,WayLo, Rooster Boy, Mick...I could go on and on....

I have to be honest...I have missed the banter, the Events and the Challenges...the Prop Talk, Gas Tank and Oil issues.... its kinda part of our DNA anymore? :lame2:

Like any family we grow up...some leave home, some come visit ...some ya never hear from again, some ya don't care to?

But as this year comes to a close, I thank the almighty for the time I have shared with some of you, I look forward to new memories that will come down stream, and most of all I look forward to running :drive: my Donzi again, polishing and trailering and spending some time catching up. :wavey:

Have a Healthy New Year - All My Best and celebrate the Spirit of Life that lives within us all! :salute:

Danny

Very well stated, and back at you!

And, next time you are visiting your brother (and our "stablemate") at Ellenwood Landing, in Montague Michigan, I'm hoping I can get more that a passing glance at whatever you are running.

We are developing quite a passionate group at Ellenwood. I think it has grown to 7 Very Nice Donzis!

Nicely worded Dan.

I, and I know there are many others, have missed
your input around here. Let's hear from you a little more often.

Tampa Bay was like a sheet of glass and 79 degrees to boot. Saw a sweet 18 with windshield and rear hatch cushion. Colored like mine with "Red Bull" on the sides.....anyone's boat?

Nice post Danny. And Happy New Year to you and everyone else here at The Registry.

I agree completely with the spirit of your message. This community is a widespread group of interests and backgrounds, pulled together by the common hobby of small performance boating. What is not to like?

I have stated it many times here, but one of the things I look forward to more than just about anything else during the year is attending the various gatherings that pull this cast of characters from the internet into the reality of living and breathing personalities that you talk to on the docks. Their boats almost become secondary, even though most are a direct expression of their owner’s quirks, tastes, and personalities, as you get to know the people behind the screen handles and friendships are built.

I often hear that for some the runs are too far away, badly timed, or just not right for certain people. Okay, fine. So put together some casual runs in your area and go run them where you can, when you can. We did a bunch of this last summer in the Detroit area. We had a ball.

Look for details to come on the Midwest Donzi Club’s Annual Awakening of the Horses at Lake Cumberland. As always, it will be the weekend before Memorial Day at Jamestown Resort.

+1!!

Good topic guys! Well said...

Happy New Year to all!

My number one resolution in 2012: I vow to use my Donzi more this year, and make more smaller runs (casual types).
Our locals (The Texas Salties) are a great group, and I promise to encourage, (and help organize), more get-togethers on our home waters..

Cheers and a great 2012 to everyone on the board!
