Just wonderign if anyone has swapped out their hydralic engine hatch lift for an electric hactch actuator? As many of you know, the Trim Master hydralic actuator that come from Donzi on the boats are SLOW. Hardin makes an electric one that is supposedly much faster.
Has anyone else gone this route? The electric one I am reffering to is in the link below. Just curious if you guys think this would work better, and if there is anything special I would need to do switching from hydralic to electric? I assume there would be no reason why I couldn't use the current wire harness that goes to the DC motor on the hydralic pump? Any help would be appreciated.

I switched to a long hydraulic ram that I powered with a trim pump. It would fully extend in less than 5 seconds.

Ok, thanks. Where did you find the long hydraulic ram from and is that all you had to change out? Did you continue to use the Trim Master pump that came in the boat?

No, got rid of the old pump. I will have to get the name of the ram company. I had around $1,000 hard cost in the whole setup. That is with a used trim pump.
