looking for my next boat, can anyone compare these two boats. Is the 27 alot better riding than the 233 formula? formula single I/0 magnum twin smallblock/volvo 280 drives.

3-4 feet is a lot. Adding another engine is a lot too. Kinda comparing apples to oranges.

Nice 271 Formula Single 502 on E-Bay. That would be much closer in comparo.

I once heard someone remark that the F233 hull was Don's best riding hull. Of course he never put any qualifiers on the statement , but I would assume that his opinion had a size clause attached.

Indeed ,they are two very different hulls/boats , but I once 'toured' a hauled 233 that had a cuddy and was amazed at the overall dimensions of the boat.
I would guess that it would be a good candidate for a healthy BB .

The lower freeboard of the 27 Sedan might surprise you if you're offshore and not on plane .
