TAKES 10 SECONDS ... DO IT AND PASS IT ON!

Own a Gun? Please Keep This Moving

Guess they were not happy with the poll results the first time so USA today is running another one....vote now

Attorney General, Eric Holder, has already said this is one of his major issues. He does not believe the 2nd Amendment gives individuals the right to bear arms. This takes literally 2 clicks to complete. Please vote on this gun issue question with USA Today. It will only take a few seconds of your time. Then pass the link on to all the pro gun folks you know. Hopefully these results will be published later this month. This upcoming year will be come critical for gun owners with the Supreme Court's accepting the District of Columbia case against the right for individuals to bear arms.
Here's what you need to do:
First - vote on this one.
Second- launch it to other folks and have THEM vote - then we will see if the results get published.

Me and my bud were out in his Baja with his father on Barnegat bay, NJ. We get pulled over by the marine police for doing nothing of course. He comes aboard. My bud's father says "Hey Trooper...what kind of gun is that?" The Trooper says "40Cal. Glock". He then says "What do you do with a gun that big...shoot Whales?" At first I thought we were gonna get the book thrown at us but the cop just burst out laughing. An people think NJ State Troopers have no sense of humor.

To answer YOUR question...yes I have 4 guns and usually pack heat in my boat with a .357 Mag.

Guns, I got guns! The only problem is in Canada that the do gooders have destroyed all the fun. I don't understand it, a fella could do more damage with a can of gas and half a brain. What I would like to know is there any common sence left!!

Found this subject very interesting. Although I don't own a gun I truly believe that it is the right of every American to obtain and own one legally.
If you think about it a well maintained Militia does exist. There are actually two forms in every state. One at the local level the other at the state level.

Can you figure out what it is ? They are called Police. And their job is to do exactly what the 2n'd amendment suggest. They are there to protect the populous from harm from any and all threats against the civilian people. Which in effect gives towns and states the ability to protect there inter structure from the federal government, should Tierney and corruption arise from our elected leaders. One would hope that these Militia's would uphold our rights. But as we have seen in the past such as Kent State University. They Failed to protect the community from the Federal Government and even may have even been involved in the injustice.

So as the first part of the 2n'd amendment
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State
clearly exist

Which leaves the 2n'd part as an entirely different entity.
The right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Think about this! This control or infringement already exist at the local level.
The states and judicial entities, have given the head of militia's "chief of police" the right to dictate who can and who can't posses a fire arm especially in public, By the issuance of gun permits. I think that this control is already effective, and there is no need to Deny civilians the right to bare arms. In effect the police are civilians too so if one civilian has the right, then all should.
Most of all, illegalization of fire arms would in effect, increase crime just for the fact that a now law abiding person who owned a firearm, would become a criminal and a Felon to boot

2n'd amendment

As passed by the Congress:

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
As ratified by the States and authenticated by Thomas Jefferson, Secretary of State:

A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.[8] (http://www.donzi.net/forums/#cite_note-7)
