When I met George at the rendezvous he was talking to another gent from Texas. I forget the question but I said I have not only been to Texas but went to College there and am still trying to forget some of the things I did. Crazy state, try making friends there when you are from NJ. My Professors would just refer to me as "Yankee". My 22C was shipped to Forth Worth when new, I went to school right outside there in Denton. Been to many of the lakes and being from NJ I was puzzled how big they are...then again EVERYTHING is bigger in Texas. Now at least if I went back I can say I am a "Floridian" and not get beat up so badly.

Earlier this year I was considering a move to Texas. Can you imagine what they would say about a guy from California?!?!

I'd have to leave out the last decade or so and just tell them I'm from Indiana. Nobody has an opinion about Hoosiers.

In case it's not clear, I'm not bashing TX, just joking around. I've met a few Texans and I can't recall a jerk in the bunch.

(btw, the Texas thing has passed, but we did look at some interesting property on the edge of the foothills east of Sacramento Saturday, so the relocation thing isn't done yet)

Given many legacy issues and continuing downward pressures on real estate, I would think that rent (vs. buy) is something almost anyone should consider right now, especially someone who's already considering a move. Just a thought.

LOL, or Florida is in a state of occupation. Depending on your definitions... :)

(As an aside, in my first 21 years, I met exactly one person who was FROM Las Vegas.)
