Anyone know how to duplicate the texture Donzi used on access hatch covers? I attached a pattern, from a access cover, that is similar. Not sure how it is done...........with a mold or ???

Thanks

Try these folks http://www.masepoxies.com/How_To/Flex_Mold_Repair_Directions.html

A real pain because the pattern is 1 sq ft and not cheap. But I had a good result on a 6" patch job.

You can also use a silicone putty/clay to spread over the old pattern, let cure, peal off and use
to texture the new surface. I have never tried this.

The easiest way is to sand off all of the old pattern and then add a new textured surface with
a textured roller. I have done this on swim platforms with good results.

That is what I needed..........but they sure are proud $$$ of their product. $55.00 for a 12" x 12" pattern. I think I will try making a pattern. As long as I get a good release, it should work. I believe the hobby / modeling stores have a gel of some sort that may work also. Roller is a good idea, but I want to match the pattern on other hatches.

Appreciate the help! :)

Aren't they generic parts? Like these: http://greatlakesskipper.com/category-1/22_614_703-boat-hatches-port-windows-deck-plates-and-access-covers.html

I have a sample kit of just about EVERY non-skid out there but Boston Whaler. I will try and look it up before I head out to Sarasota tomorrow. The company sends it to you for free.
