Glad i'm on the coast.

Pictures of the various marinas & dams around Lake Travis and the effects of the drought

Pray for rain. To help fill the lakes, rivers and streams and also to help put out the fires across the state.

Take some of our water from the Northeast. We've had more than our share.

They said on the news that Lake Travis was closed up to mile marker 1 for the airplanes to scoop up water to fight the Bastrop fires. Someone took a video of these water bombers filling up with water on Lake Travis and then heading out to fight the fires. These planes are thought to be the Canadair CL 215s.

Cool video! I was informed today that a neat gyroscope desk clock I bought on ebay was burned up in the Bastrop fires. The guy's son lost his house. Lake Travis is sure low again! Our Lake Texoma is only down about 8 feet, but most boaters are not coming due to the blue/green algae scare. Bill

While we no longer owned it, I am pretty sure the lake home that we spent a year and a half building in the Cliffs at Possum Kingdom is now gone.
