Ok I have owned my 22C almost a month but yet I am still doing a bunch of stuff to it. Quick question is.....do the seats on a 1994 22C swivel? I know they move back and forth but can't figure if the swivel so passenger can look astern.

Well, my 22C is much older, but no, I do not think that any of them do. Back and forth only ...

Ok...so I am not crazy. I think the newer ones might as I have seen the 2004? with it swiveled but I know they changed them at one point. Mine go back and forth.

They went from box to pedestal around 96. My 96 has swivel, my friends 95 has box.

Mine are box with a square lever in front that you either push down or up for them to slide.

Another STUPID question but what is the rear davit eye for? Can you really lift the boat with it? I would think it would just roll over like a rotisserie chicken. Everyone down here uses the 2 stern eyes and a front davit. I have never lifted a boat without a triangle setup...seems unsafe then again these are narrow hulls.

99% of the boats weight is below the rear lifting eye so it is not going to roll over....I use it all the time, hang it constantly for years now.

No need.

Make sure the eye's internal bracket is strong enough and up it will go.

you need to determine what material the angle plate is made of, before you use it.apparently some are made out of aluminum and those ones fail:yes:

My '96 had stock Springfield swivels, and over time they each cracked. (see detailed thread here: http://www.donzi.net/forums/showthread.php?65816-New-Garelick-Seat-Base...&highlight=garelick)

I replaced them with a Garelick Millenium 2000 seat slide system, and have never regretted it. They slide, swivel, lock, and are very well-built.

I can't speak for the 22 but I have seen 16 and 18's hang on those rings for over 40 years, there's a 22 LE by me that was resto'd a few years back it lives on it's rings for the past few seasons. not sure if the rings were modified cause where it docks it needs to be up on a lift.

My 22 has been hanging from the two lifting eyes for 8 years. I had to replace the internal bracket on the rear before but fine since. It was aluminum and I replaced with SS.

I'll check for aluminum or SS. I see some had a triangle bolt pattern and some were 3 bolts across...wonder why? Drive space from OMC to B1?

3 bolt across type is steel, 3 in a triangle is aluminum and may be trouble, mine was.

My 1994 is 3 across. I see the 1991 brochure is the same. Must be 95/96 that they went to aluminum as your is a 96. Maybe you got swivel seats and a fallable lifting eye and I got a good eye and stationary seats....I think I would rather have the swivel seats as I have a cradle type lift.
