This may be a dumb question, but is it a terrible idea to drive the boat with a tear in the bellows? Will the boat sink? I am thinking it may have had a tear for a while, because I had to replace 2 gimble bearing this year. I can only assume that this bearing will be shot now too, so what will 1 more day do.....:confused:
What are your thoughts??

I think you have been running it with a bad bellows. Torn bellows have caused a lot of boats to sink....don't leave it unattended, make sure your bilge pump works. Fix it.

clean the area around the hole, use oil free thinner or laquir thinner, get a tube ofr super fast windshield adheisive and smear some over the whole hole and let it dry,,go boating for the weekend and fix it next week..this is a tempory fixx and should get you through the weekend..

Of course use it. Most people go for days/weeks using their boat with that problem wondering why the auto bilge keeps turning on....
