I have a '87 Z21 with an Alpha drive that has a power steering leak. It is in the assemble mounted to the actuator. After much hunting on the internet and calling Mercury I am told that the seal kit (25-58226A1) is no longer available. They want me to purchase an "upgrade" kit for $400+.

Anyone have any suggestions? And do I have to use the exact replacement (if I can get a good used one) as the part number that is suppose to be for the drive (serial# 0B548322)?

Thanks,

DTM
