It seemed like I was always punching the tabs up buttons on my '86 22c. But the tabs were all the way up.
The old Bennetts were parallel to boat bottom when full up.

So after thinking about the geometry it seemed that if I spaced the planes out and left the rams alone I would gain some extra height.
(I wanted to look at the mountings and condition of transom anyways)

I used 1/2 x 3" aluminum flat stock and powder coated white. Longer stainless bolts w/ fender washers on the inside.
(standard washers or none existed before) I also added washers to the outside (none there before)

1/2" spacer gave me 3/8" higher tab plane. Had her out for a short run yesterday and it seems to help !!!

Anyone see any issues with this idea ??

you could have shortened the existing rams for the mere cost of a bottle of tranny fluid...

I sill had to cut 5/8" off the top of the ram...
