Ken,
Sorry I just spotted your request and I know I have a free leftover piece for you somewhere even longer then you need, I just went out to the shop/garage and my basement to give a quick look for it but currently haven't spotted it or the box i'm thinking it's in.
I'll continue to look for it or e-mail me if you have already picked one up since Monday and i'll call off my search..:frown:

I have a few pieces left over that I was saving. I paid $143 incl shipping for 3'. That's about $24 per 6". I will send you this 7" piece for $30 total. It is new and is 4" ID.http://i763.photobucket.com/albums/xx275/CARLC222/Pictures538Medium.jpg

Ken,
The free for you including the mailing 4" dia, piece of exh hose that i'm searching for is not blue in color if that's what you're looking for, mine is black if that matters but is new un-used.

I might have some scraps from a project floating around. Not sure if it's trident or shields, but it is blue silicon 4". I know I have a new 3' piece, but I'm not quite ready to start cutting on that yet. As you know, they're pretty proud of that stuff.

If you don't need to use it for exaust applications, the ricer crowd uses silicon hose for their air intakes. It's a lot cheaper stuff than the marine exhaust hose and you can probaly buy it in 6" lengths on ebay.

It's kinda ugly, and it's only 5.5", but it's yours if it will work.

Don, thanks, but it is a touch too short.

Time for a seat on that Triumph, no?

With mine you get an extra inch! I know it's a lot of money but I paid a lot of money and as soon as I sell it I will probably need it. I got your PM and my offer stands if you don't find another piece. It's decent of these guys to offer them for free!

No problem; I knew it wasn't exactly what you wanted but I had it laying around.

The bike needs a touch more than a seat.

I think I posted the story when it happened but can't find it in the search. That's the bike I high-sided at about 85 last summer. Obviously I haven't put it back together. I did get to keep a neat titanium souvenir though.

Here are more pics of the carnage. I actually got off really light, only broke the wrist and a small fracture of the radius on the same arm. The arm came back 100%; the wrist 90%-it has pretty much full movement but a little pain.

Ghastly pictures Don.
I'm glad the pieces still work.

My close by Aeroquip dealer offers the hose from "Federal Hose" for $35/foot.

Well Trident sure didn't just send it to me free. $25 shipped. That's less than I paid. It's worth it.

I thought you had it as $24. plus $6. mailing $30. total.
But now it's a scrap piece going to waste Lol, like the lost pieces I have amongst all my other worthy stuff the American Pickers TV show would love to scrounge thru, and besides Trident doesn't know you as you know Ken wanting to help out a good buddy in need.
I call it Pay forward for good Karma and for the sexual Gods to smile down upon you and grant you great pleasures beyond your imagination and dreams! :outtahere: :kingme:

Yes, it was $30 shipped. Now it is $25 shipped. I will need it if I burn a hose through so it's not just junk laying around. Sorry.

Actually very little road rash...I didn't slide so much as tumble. And tumble. And tumble a little more. Then when I thought it was about to end, I rolled off the edge and down the hill (see pics on photobucket link), so there was some more tumbling then...

There were a few things that led up to the crash, but the short of it was I was going too fast. Yeah, I have lots of excuses like the road was a bind turn over a hill; it was poorly marked; I was riding a bike I don't normally ride; etc. I was riding with 3 others that day. One guy was much better than me, a sponsored racer on a CBR1000. The two of us had pulled way out ahead of the other two guys with me in the lead on my old bike when it happened. I had just enough time to think 'brake hard, stand it up and ride through the gravel, then get back on the brakes on the other side'. I didn't actually do any of that, instead I locked up the rear (again thanks to being on the old bike instead of my usual one) and high-sided over my right side. The other guy pretty much did what I thought about doing and stopped safely on the other side of the gravel. The other two guys came up on us a few minutes later. Surprisingly, they didn't have any trouble at all. Possibly because they were going somewhere around the speed limit.
