With things the way they are lately, I think sometimes we forget there are people behind these posts and screen names. Here are the attendies and people I call freinds from Chattanooga. It is the people, not the boats, that make up this community. Some of the pics aren't the best, the camera (and me) had a little trouble with the heat..... :)

Ken, fun and many Bushwahckers were had by all. Great group, not a single cross word. There were some other people that came and went, but above was the core group. There wer also a bunch of A dock locals who extended some amazing hospitality, and even a part of two when needed. I hope I didn't forget anyone.

I will post the Donzis that attended in a little bit. Got some great pics of all the boats. Some amazing ones showed up..... :)

John, thanks for the pics, and glad we got to finally hang out some. I'lll add a name to the roster--next to Deb and me is Steven, an old friend of of the Hedgehog, who is not on the board but you can see is similarly a riot. (I think his humor kept me from collapsing from heat stroke on the trip to Blue Plate. :) )

Thanks for sharing the photos of an obviously great time. Nice to put faces to the names. Love the color of Tidbart's boat, is that blue a stock color? Never seen another Donzi 22 that color.

I think this is a great thread, there is a face to each name.

Thanks for posting, Weasel. Good idea. It's always suprising to me when I meet someone new from the board that rarely do they look like what I assumed.

As for my pic, though I look like some derranged guy who is about to get into a bar fight, I'm really not a crazy person (I don't think).

Great photos DW (certainly not of me, and that's probably why your camera quit working), but thanks for posting them up. I've got a few more and will post them up shortly.

Leesa and I had a blast this weekend and cannot wait to do it again. Hedgehog and the A-Dock Team host a great event...and we really enjoyed everyone's company. We ate like kings & queens Saturday night and a special thank you to all that made that happen. I don't want to begin a list, because I'm afraid I'll leave someone out, but thank you....over-the-top-awesome.

Hoping everyone had / has safe travels home.

Great weekend folks...looking forward to the next one !

With kind regards,

Phil S.

Here is Todd walking back to his boat with a full gas can.:bonk:

I did that twice to get ten gallons of 110 to the Flowerpot. We told the Goose Pond folks that it was "octane boost", so they would allow it on the gas docks. Well, it was. Most of it even made it into the tank, not counting the little bit that hit my docksiders. It was well worth the sweaty, pack-mule effort. Hedge and DW were a great big help, too. You got to do, what you got to do.

BTW, the riding and walking, curly shuffle, was an attempt to hustle, because I was second in a line of five, and it was a little warm on that dock.

Here Bill and I are sucking on the hose in a 1000 degree heat to get a syphon going to fill 5 gallon gas cans, almost passing out. Then Brian or Todd, I was not real clear at this point, pointed to the petcock at the bottom of the 55 gallon tank. The hose connected right to it. Would have saved me a few brain cells and almost passing out if we had seen it earlier (trust me, I need all I can get)......... :) Always ready to help even if my iq suffers due to gas inhalation.

What's not to like? Did you notice that one is a slight blur, as we were rocking so quickly, that even Tidbart's high speed camera couldn't catch us?

Kidding.

But seriously, that picture needs to find its way to our wall, so we can be reminded of better days when the winter hits the Tundra in Michigan yet again.
