I wonder if there is one? I know they have built them with 1075's (low 130 MPH range).

I have also seen 700 sci's (the orange factory boat is a perfect example... I think it runs 110 MPH)

so split the difference? 120 or so

There is a purple-ish 700NXT boat out there with the updated, four step hull running 113-114. There is an older, two step 700 Potter Perfromance boat with SCX drives running 119-120. I would put the 850 boat in the high teens.

What do they run with 525's? 80's? 90's?

There is a high speed 35ZR that Eddie built. It ran around 120 or so. He is coming back for 4 litre whipple 950's. Eddie's last 950's made more like 1060.

He is taking it to Loto.

I'm not sure... When I went to the 28 ZX I started to realize why so many people end up going so fast. 65-70 is almost boring in the 28 where it's a blast in a 22. I imagine the 38 Comp being pretty boring at 90

is going to run 93-95, if it is a stagger.

Biggest thing with any performance boat, the faster you go, the faster the space gets eaten up in front of you. It happens in a hurry. And this is how accidents happen.

Coolest part about my time spent in a ZRC, is that you can toss it around. It feels just like a big Classic. Most offshores lose this in the stand-up/cabin/ and everything else transition.

I'm curious...

from a speed/feeling/thrill/fun respect... 80 MPH in a 22 == ??? MPH in a ZRC?

Much as I love the ZRC, I don't think there is anything like going 80, or more, in a 22. Why do you think Phil Lipschutz has a tricked out 20 as his personal boat, when he could have just about any other Cigarette? Same reason, he loves the challenge of making a small performance boat really run. I can respect and undertand that...

Yep,

Looking forward to seeing 90 in a 22 myself. I think that it will be pretty dang cool.

I ran 103 in a 24 Skater, that was a good time. It was like riding on an air bed or a couch on a waterbed. Ive always wondered about the ZRC myself. They are giving out rides here in OK at grand lake in August, maybe Ill see if I can score a ride. If I can, Ill post my experience here.

I agree. I rode in a Sunsation Dominator and at 90+ it was still "boring" for lack of a better word. Don't get me wrong, it was fun, but not the same "thrill" as a smaller boat running 70+.

LOL, please let me be the first to admit that I am the loser who brings almost nothing to the table here. That said, I hope to catch a ride close to 90 in an 18 someday. I will say that 82 is a HELL of a rush. 90 must be amazing.

"Why?! Because it's [way the F### back] there." <points to shrinking blur in rearview mirror>

Roadtrip I think half the fun is getting to run fast & safe at the numbers (90+ mph) we are running in these 20' cigarettes and the real challenge is doing it over & over safely it's all in the set up

No doubt LM. I wasn't quite seeing the HP that I thought I should have last summer, so I was forced to focus on set-up, and now that the HP issue has been resolved, the hard work is really paying off. My wife was dubious at best about the added speed, but when she got in the boat last weekend for the first time with the boat reasonably prop-tuned, she could not believe how smooth and predictable it is. Not getting cocky, that would be a big mistake, but the fun factor is way up, without the "oh crap" moments. Going out to look for a couple more this afternoon....
