Couple of nice Ultra's on eBay:

Wish there were a bit smaller-- I don't have the ponies to turn these.

Or did I win? After getting it, I noticed a few issues that makes me question whether I should try it or not. It does slide onto the shaft, but only after removing the sleeve or collar that goes into the back of prop housing. It also will need a different type of prop nut to secure it to the shaft. Besides that, it it smaller in overall diameter of the hub of than a standard prop which does not seem to aerodynamic.
I started out with a ultra 22 which to me seemed to slow, I then tried a volvo 14x23 aluminum elephant ear and performance and speed improved. Still have more rpm's to drop, so I want to go with 24 or 25 which led me to purchase this one.
Can any one help to identify this prop or have had any experience with custom props and attaching them? I know that I ultimately want a 21 solas or 24 ultra, but until then,..... I'm running what I got

you've run into the long hub short hub thingy. every volvo aq owner should have an assortment of different length thust washers to accomodate each type of prop. the prop nut can be made or the shaft can be drilled and tapped so the cone and bolt can be used.

the prop looks very much like the merc chopper 25 I have. someone pressed a volvo hub into it.

how does your prop perform on your boat? Is it comparable to ultra or solas?

I had popeye arm, I had to lock my right forearm to hold the wheel from pulling to the left. nothing like the solas or the ultra
