yes rain or shine. we are setup with tents for friday nite and the forecast of showers is not that unusual for the area . we usually get showers early Sat morning and by late morning they clear . some of the worst sunburns I get up there with a forecast of showers. see you up there looking forward to meeting you. not to worry you'll have a blast.

I recently bought a 1970 Classic 18 but it is garaged in Maine, 4 hours away from my home and in the opposite direction of Lake George.

Is it worth going to the Dust Off without a boat? If so, when are the best times to go?

I would be interested in getting more information and taking pictures of classic 18's of the same vintage. Heck I haven't even put my boat in the water yet, so I would be super if I could experience what a ride in an 18 would be like.

Thanks,

Davis

Yes!

It's a great way to meet people, learn about the boats and see a beautiful lake.

I should have added that this event is a 4 hour drive each way for me. Is it worth driving 8 hours?

When are the best times to go? Probably NOT when all the boats are out in the middle of the lake (i.e. between 9:30 and 11:45am Saturday)

I'm assuming most of the near-shore activities will be at the Treasure Cove resort, correct?

Thanks,

Davis

Worth the trip? Heck, I would WALK to LG if needed! (hope i don't need to!)

Make a weekend out of it. 4 hours each way - you will probably spend at least one night anyway.

TC will be base camp for the weekend. But weather permitting - Saturday AM until early afternoon, will be at the Algonquin.

Saw you out there Rocky (009). Nice boat. Don't be so shy! Come for the Fall Picnic.

GREAT weekend. The weather was terrific. The Lake wasn't too crowded or too rough - good 16 weather! Great to see everyone, new friends and old. Parnell's 21 was amaaaaaazing! Ken's boat was way cool - looked like it had a flux capacitor and smelled like a bunsen burner from high school chemistry!

High lights for me were taking Barb and Andrew for a ride! Also the Clue Classic Mystery Trivia Contest.

Big thanks to Matty and Scott and to Brad - the pictures are up ALREADY!

Safe home. See you in the Fall.
