1967, 302 engine and 270 outdrive with nose cone, Holman Moody package. The engine was rebuilt during the restoration by the previous owner (mid 90s). I installed a oil preluber system (builds oil pressure to 30 lbs. before starting) when I bought the boat. It is lucky if it gets taken out twice a year. $8500 in Athens, Alabama 256-683-4443

Is what it looks like behind the dash. I've decided to list it on ebay Early DONZI Sweet 16-V-8-Fantastic Restored Condition! (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280689648721)

Hull #441, does anyone know where that would put it as far as year made? Bill of sale says 1967 but does not have some of the items I have seen on 1967 models, like the rear vent?

Mine is hull 409, and Jay I believe has 420, both of which were made in April 1967, so hull 441 sounds like it should be a 1967 hull too.

Mine is hull 420, made spring of '67.

If I didn't know the hull # was 441, I might assume the white boat was earlier. Not sure about the stern vent, but I think it should also have a slotted wheel - assuming the one pictured is original.

Nice looking boat.

looks like a nice boat.

the tell tale signs usually seen in a 67 have been covered up by the restoration, if the boat didn't have the int'l lighting option( the stern light in the vent) the vent was just held in by 4 screws, which can easily be covered when the stripe was painted. In the pictures you can see the original light blue under the red creeping out in some spots. the lack of pinstriping on the stripe also is a sign the stripe has been painted in 67 they couldn't get a crisp line with gel so they covered the bleeding where the 2 colors met with a pinstripe.

the low and narrow exhaust means this was originally a 289 inteceptor with a 200 outdrive. the 302 and 270 was added sometime over it lifetime. The tag on the holman moody package should give some kind of time frame when the 302 was added. the decals are part of the resto too the lion and dolphin would not appear on a 67.
Hull 441 would be mid year of 67.

this reminds me very much of my 67 16 a 289 upgraded to a 351 and a newer drive then painted. the big one would be does this boat have a solid glass deck with pvc pipes as support.

a nice boat good luck with the sale

Thanks for the comments. I'll take some pictures of up under the deck. I guess it is the economy, but I thought it would at least hit the reserve of $7500 which is damn cheap for a boat in this condition. I saw a 16 a couple of weeks ago that was in very poor shape and it sold for $4000 so I don't get it. :bonk:Maybe folks don't realize how much it cost to get one into decent shape. I'll quit my whining.
