Has anyone ever ran any Sea Foam through their engines? Or do you have any other additives you recommend? Just want to make sure everythign is running as smooth and clean as possible.

Chevron's Techron fuel injector cleaner, once in a while. That is it.

Keeps things running clean and smooth and it is readily available.

I am a big fan of Sea Foam in my vehicles and boats to keep the engines cleaner. It also is a fuel stabilizer and helps with the moisture in fuel. Bill

last year I thought my engine was hosed and I was in for a big repair job. 2 bottles of Chevron's Techron fuel injector cleaner in the tank cleared it up almost immediately. I guess the injectors were gummed up.

I use techron too. From everything I have read, techron and seafoam are the only 2 that are worth running. You can run techron at 2x strength safely if you have a problem. if you don't standard strength is fine.

I sea foamed the oil and fuel today. I'll let you know the results, if any...

what would you do if you had a few 15 gal containers of gas-- throw it out, or try to fix it???? where the continers were was difficult to treat i the winter-- so now I have 30-60 gallons of gas that is questionable

fuel stabilizer should do the trick.

I'm a big sea foam fan at the beginning of the season and half way through. I also add in stabil ethanol treatment when I fuel up.

Mix it into new gas a little at a time and use it up.

snake oil

Care to expand? Everyone raves about all these additives now that ethanol is the cause of every single problem regarding boating. I would love to hear from someone who knows something else.

I use seafoam in some of my older cars, BMW 2002, old Merc 280se, etc. I don't use it in strong, fresh motors.
Fuel Octane boost IS snake oil. Ever see that booster stuff that claims it'll boost your octane four points? Well, it's not a lie! If you have 90 octane and use that stuff, you'll be an 90.4, lol. Seriously, that's how it works.
