The longer shifter is the Morse MJB with the mounting plate and hardware and aftermarket aluminum knobs in new condition - never mounted. The other shifter is a China made smaller version of the MJB. It is new in the box with hardware. I always thought the Morse MJB was a work of art with the curved handles. I would sell the Morse for $225 delivered in the continental US and the other for $100 delivered. Notice the difference in lengths - about 2". They both have a spring loaded neutral catch on the longer shifter handle. The shorter handles are the throttles. How big of a job would it be to get one of those to work with a 1994 sweet 16 with a v8/alpha setup ?

I would think if you are handy it would be an easy job. You might have to make a plate to cover the old holes which one of these shifter/throttles would then attach to. The shifter cable is attached to the longer shifter handle which is closer to the side, and the throttle cable is connected to the shorter arm handle. These have the typical 33C cable connectors in the hardware pack.

Nope. I think you need the one that I provided in a link a couple weeks ago that was on Ebay. They are not made anymore so you will have to buy a used one and probably have it chromed. I am not positive which throttle was used on the 1966 models, but my 1971 has the one in that link with the neutral detent pull knob at the bottom. Hope this helps. Bill

I should mention that the levers on the handles can be clocked to either side to be at right angles to the handles. This allows the handle to either push or pull the cables depending on the setup. These shifter/throttles can mount straight up on the side with the bracket and cables facing the stern which means the cables will not have to bend coming to the shifters. As you can see, the Morse MJB has many clocking positions for the cable bracket to mount, but the China made bracket can only easily be mounted straight up or back unless you drill some more clocking holes in the bracket. Does your boat not have the Morse shifter or was it missing? They are no longer available, but you can find them used and have it rechromed along with buying a wood Donzi shifter knob. Bill

It should work fine for your application. The chrome work is not quite as good as the Morse, but it has smooth action in both handles with a little tension. The gear shift has spring loaded position holders built into it. Yes, the knobs are the same threading as the Morse so you can get any conventional knobs for it. Bill
