Just saw on the news, all the houses at Hell's Gate at Possom Kingdom were burned in the wildfires. I feel sorry for all those forks.

I heard on the news that there was already over 1,000,000 acres that have burned in Texas this year. A few towns to the west and southwest of me were evacuated a few days ago when the fires were not under control. The powerful sustained winds have a lot to do with the problem. We have a good chance of rain over the next few days so maybe it will get better - :crossfing: We actually had a nice thundershower last evening here in Denison. It is sad to hear about the homes around Possum Kingdom. Bill

We built a house in the Cliffs and hosted the original Texas Round-Up there in 2000. We almost bought a Frank Lloyd Wright inspired home with a view of Hell's Gates, afterwards. It truly is a beautiful place and I am saddened to hear of the destruction, but people will re-build, because they are Texans, after all!

This is my worst nightmare having a lake home located at Lake Cumberland 450 miles from our doorstep here in Michigan. What a mess.
