Just got back from Orange Beach and thanks to Phil and his pointers on where to go! Phil, the time you took to meet me and Donzi Deb is much appreciated. I enjoyed your company and wish you the best of luck on finding a Classic - I saw your post - did your offer get accepted? If we make it again next year I'll know to bring GT and we can cruise together.

PS - I ended up eating lunch at Tacky Jacks 3 days straight - good choice. And then the Flora-Bama Lounge - it doesn't get much cooler than that - it kinda reminds me of the Broken Spoke in Austin TX.

PSS - I been away for over a week - Harbormaster, this new layout is great!

The pleasure was mine, not often I get to meet people like you and yours, Flora-bama is always a good time, glad you enjoyed your self and I look forward to your visits again.
We'll have to dock the Donzi's at Tacky Jacks for breakfast!

I'm lined up to purchase a early barrel back with a warmed over 351 Cleveland in it, can't wait!

The wifey's Z3 Roadster is pretty much history, yesterday morning a woman ran a red light and t-boned me in the drivers door at 40 MPH without ever hitting the brakes, knocked me into next week, a few more stiches in my hard head, I was seriously P.O.'d besides the fact she could have killed me, the car was a mid life present wifey gave herself for the milestone double nickle birthday.

Will post a pic of the Donzi as soon as she is in my hands.

Will post some pics tomarro, I was very suprised by the side impact strength of the Z3, and no, she is not a total loss!

I was hit by a Toyota Camery, driver told police she was doing 40 MPH in a 40 speedzone. I can't dispute that, I took a heck of a lick, bounced my head off the drivers side window, and put me into the passengers side seat, seat belt on! my butt was still in the drivers seat, but when I came back to reality my head was lying on the passenger seat (must have broke the seat belt upper tension mechanism)

ahhh the memories... swap the Z3 for a broken down old escort though *those broke college days* and the camery for a taurus... imagine taurus airborne over the curb at about 40, reminded me of dukes of hazzard!... across 4 lanes of empty road and broadsides me in the drivers door... and well if i had been wearing a seatbelt i doubt i'd be here to tell bout it now... The pillar was located somewhere behind the passenger seat after it was all said and done and the seats were touching where there had once been a foot gap... just a fluke cause i wear a seat belt 98% of the time. the escort was a total loss.. THANK GOD! glad you're alright...

Hey Guys. Where is Orange Beach? Is that the name of the city or the beach? Always looking for new vacation spots. Could you give me a website about the place? Thanks in advance.

Orange Beach is a small town in Alabama, it is located on all sides by water, the Gulf of Mexico, Perdido Bay, and the Intercoastal Water Way.

Originally there were orange groves, hence the name.

It is a small unique town, very informal and laid back. Aside from the recent tourism, the town has a fishing heritage. The are many charter boats here and if you go back in time there were hotels and fishing camps.

Many people with boats live here as there are subdivsions built on deep water canals where you can park a 42' commercial charter boat in your back yard.

There are some great hotels, resorts, condos and rental homes homes on all bodies of water so you have the choice of Gulf Front or the option of staying at a condo with docking facilities.

All in all a great place with white sand beaches and cold beer!

Didn't see a seperate link for Orange Beach, Gulf shores and Orange Beach city limits are adjacent.

Man I'm glad you're all right. And I don't hardly believe it! I was driving through town on my way home and saw the wreck - the police reporting, etc. I knew you had a Z-3 but I didn't make the connection of the wreck with you.
