hi i just bought a 1989 22 donzi with no motor but has an brovo 1 with imco racing lower and hydrlic steering so i kno it can handle some power was thinking a 383 mpi or 454 carb any suggestions looking to spend about no more then 8000

With that nice of a set up I would go with a BBC 502 there are quite a few floating around well within your price range

One (502) sold here recently for around $5500 with under 300 hrs. If that is any indication of price.

There is a complete hp500 carb with exhaust and everything included on o.s.o. in the classifieds for $6800 with 160 original hrs.not mine.
