I've never seen one of these offered. This is a rare 25 degree V with a step and a pad. One of the best rough water boats under 32', it also has very high freeboard and a spot for a potti for the wife. This is not the Offshore model that Warlock offered, it was based on the Warlock raceboat and very few were made. This could almost convert me to I/O. Fast hull with stock 502 power and looks like freshwater  She probably has no idea what she has  Someone will get a family sleeper and a wave crusher.

Correct smidgen, that is the CL listing. Warlock has had two ownership periods, I have one from the Tom Stolarz old school era who was the brains behind the designs. Yes, they won a LOT of races but most folks have no idea what they are capable of. This one has the better option of the 502 which is nice for future fiddling if so desired. Most of the left coasters take these things to the River and raft 'em, so the use is normally very light. They tend to wax 'em more than run them........:screwy: This model World Class is a lot different with a 12" delta pad that allows the hull to free up big time for speed when conditions are right. Or drop the snout and let the 25 degrees go to work :shark:

I met Tom Stolarz at the 1990 worlds in Key West nice guy. Tom tried to get us in one of his 31' cats to replace our tired Eastern Express Shadow cat . We went with a 32' Skater instead.

Is it true. I read someware that warlocks have a wood floor covered in carpet ?

Greg Guimond
02-28-2011, 11:17 AM
I can't say on this particular hull but my hull does have a sealed wood floor covered in carpet. Remember these are west coast hulls, you'll often find carpet. You would have to confirm the exact build on this 25 but in general it is built in the 27's footsteps. Remember though this model is a drivers hull, you won't get in an master the step run one, and if you have never worked with a delta pad it will take time to understand how to make it run. Warlock did a lot of different models, although none in large numbers. Most folks get the models confused. This 25 is an 8' beam boat, unusual for that deep a V. This is not a boat to buy remote and have shipped in, you have to go and sea trial it, and have it surveyed properly. One thing is the sale will not break the $20k mark. Most folks are scared off by a step in a small hull. You could never touch a Powerplay 25 or Active Thunder 25 Tantrum for close to that # and they might be a tougher sell to the better half

A good friend of mine had a 23' Warlock back in the early- mid 90's with a 454 mag. Honest 70mph boat with no steps, no pad. Super solid boats.

Two totally different hulls. Euro 24 is a 25 degree straight V with a 6'6" beam. It was a carry on from the 23 World Class Offshore but with the integrated swim platform added for the extra foot. Here is a watershot of the Warlock 24 World Class Euro in pic #1. The yellow Warlock 25 World Class is a 25 degree V with a step and a delta pad plus tremendous freeboard height. It has an 8' beam. Hope that helps

Check the exact build date and the HIN. It would be very unusual (not impossible) to see a Euro built that deep into the 90's decade as they were mostly 88-93. The bowrider is also a bit out of the norm as the Euro's were almost always closed bow. The left coast crowd could have installed the open bow well after the boats birth. I would need to see a transom shot to be sure that it is in fact a Euro but the fact it has a bow rider area installed means nothing as it would still be a 6'6" beam hull. The snout on these hulls is especially narrow, and don't lend themselves to bowrider installs. Send more photos. If the boat is in fact a Euro, you should know that the design of that boat makes for a nice ski jump for water into your _ockpit if you are not careful when coming off plane. If the bowrider, in a wave crushing V is appealing to you, there are much better options then the Warlock World Class Euro 24.

Dauley did you grab the 25 yet? To illustrate how fast the 25 World Class hull is, here is the test data from Hot Boat when they tested the boat back in 2001. Pretty efficient at 66mph out of a SBC.

Manufacturer Length Model Name Engine/ Drive HP X engines 0-30 0-40 0-50 0-60 Top MPH Test Date
Warlock 25'3'' 25' World Class Mercruiser 377 Scorpion/Bravo One 350 X 1 17.86 21.94 28.28 66 2001

Get me some better photos. I would not recommend the Euro (if it is one) in that type of water for several reasons. There are many better go fast bow rider options

If you are looking for 22-23 feet there are many, many options that offer a little mid-cabin and open bow. Here is one ......lots of function in a smaller go-fast. You can sit in the mid cabin jumpers straight up if you are 5'10 or less.

Greg Guimond

Or this, if you prefer the more traditional look to the modern euro look, and want a Bravo 3 drive for no drama.

The Ultimate Warlock 25 World Class also has external steering which is nice. I'm not sure what manufacturer it is but with the 502 that is a nice set-up

Unfortunately, while the 25 Warlock does already have the mid-cabin option, you would have to add the open bow feature. I just learned of one with both features. Let me know if you want more information or if you have to sell something first.

I agree with you that $28,000 is too high. If the boat had the 385HP Mag engine or even better a 502 and a Bravo 1 drive that might get the price up to $28k. The stock motor on these 23 XRI's was a base 7.4MPI which is not enough ponies for what the hull is capable of. If you have the 7.4MPI you might as well have the SBC option and save on the fuel consumption as the speeds will be the same.....under 60MPH on GPS.

Have you given up yet on finding the right mid-cabin, open bow? I am surprised that the 25' World Class has not sold yet. What are you thinking now that you have sold the Cig?

Greg Guimond
03-19-2011, 05:52 PM
Someone should really buy this boat! It is a 2000 Ultimate Warlock 23 XRI. 23' Centerline and 8' Beam. Exactly what Dauley has been searching for with the mid-cabin except it has a closed bow. Has the standard factory 24 degree V that all the XRI models had prior to 2003. The great thing about this particular boat, unlike the other 23, is it has the 454 Magnum MPI, Bravo 3 package. Doesn't the 454 Mag make 385 HP? I would think with the B III drive that the package would make for a efficient ride and be a breeze around the docks. Would do 65-68 on GPS. You don't see many of these, never mind in excellent freshwater condition.

Or somebody should buy this boat! It is a 2001 Warlock 25 World Class. 25'3" Centerline and 7'8" beam. This is the second generation hull design that Carter built from 1998 on when he became owner. It has a serpentine step and a delta pad. It also is a mid-cabin closed bow. This boat has a 502 (415HP) and a Bravo 1 with external steering. 25 Degree bottom with major freeboard. Here are a couple of pics of the bottom. These hulls are not docile, but they are fast, very fast and have been known to win when raced. 66mph out of a SBC and I bet 75mph from a competent driver out of the stock 502. The 23 XRI you just turn the key and go, the 25 World Class you work at getting it right, and then you are rewarded.

she wants too much by the time you add in shipping

Greg Guimond
03-20-2011, 09:06 AM
Standard, commercial shipping is certainly getting a bit pricey, but it never stopped the "right" boat from being purchased. I have done the west coast thing as the good freshwater stuff always seems to be out there which is a total PITA but what can you do. For you, perhaps the lack of open bow is the bigger drawback as you could always just fly down, rent a Trailblazer with factory hitch for a one way, and drag it back, albeit slowly, to MI. No big deal now that the weather is turning. That said, either owner does not have to discount further to eat the shipping charges as they can sell local. Both the 23 XRI and the 25 World Class can be bought for $20k, just depends on which set-up you or another buyer might like more in the slip :):) They each have there unique benefits but then again I am a fan of Warlock's, almost more then Donzi's!!
