I signed it but I'm more concerned about them upping the ethanol level in gas. I don't burn premium.

Unfortunately the EPA here in the states has approved the use of E-15 gasoline on all cars and light trucks that are 2001 models and newer. Look out marine industry, a disaster is coming to a local gas pump near you. Thanks again EPA!! For more details just google EPA approved E-15.

Hey guys , thank you for signing and to tell you the truth i really hate the thought of Ethanol in my fuel for the pure fact that it is a Solvent ,absorbs water like a sponge which effects the longevity of the fuel itself depending on how full your tank is , and not to mention the motor along with it's performance and Cherry, you are so very right about the effect this will have on the Marine Industry which has already started .

The dumbest part is why are we turning the worlds food supply into gasoline? Esp since there is no net gain in using ethanol over gasoline.

I wonder which big donor farm union is getting their payout?

I'd rather see it out of ALL grades, but premium is better than nothing.

I go along with Pismo 100% There is quite a bit on the net that says ethanol if fact is causing more pollution than not, due to fertilizers, trucking and the destruction of so many parts of the fuel system adding to our waste disposal. The various farm lobbies have a very tight grip on our legislators, primarily grain, corn and beans. For many years they have used these products as leverage with foreign countries giving the lobbyists quite a bit of power power. There is nothing readily available that produces the power of gasoline, what is needed is better research on burning it better. Added note is there anyone out there that thinks battery vehicles will not add a ton of pollution when the batteries are depleted?

Is easily the trade deal to be done. However, we are using so much corn for ethanol, there is no longer a surplus. We sorta lose the market advantage when that happens, but thats ok. Nobody was trading it anyway. But, how 'bout the Bakken Reserve ? 400 billion barrels under Montana and the Dakotas/Canada? That's the sensible place to go, even if horizontal drilling costs $20-40 a barrell. We have known of it since 1951, and the oil companies are all sitting on their thumbs as the corn farmers giggle, and all of us that have to use the 'trash gas' get to hold our ankles some more.
Unfortunately, those with the BIG $$$ hold all the cards. The top 1.5% !!!
While us grunts keep having to change fuel filters and rubber components.
Us grunts have to RISE UP outta the dust...:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Done,
Also added my view of how 10% ethanol decreases fuel mileage and performance by the same percentage!
Enthanol cost us more money at both ends beside the sucking damage of moisture! :frown:
