2011 Lk Dora Antique Boat Show and Donzi Gathering

It is that time of year again. The show is slated for March 25-27th on Lake Dora at Tavares, FL

I believe this will be the 10th

Join us for the annual lunch run through the Dora Canal and around the Harris Chain.

Boat show is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Lunch run is Saturday to, most likely, Gators in Eustis.

For those early arrivers, if that is a word, I going to try my best to do a Friday run up the Oklawaha to Silver Springs. This will be my fourth attempt and I am bound and determined to make it all the way this time. Water level best be up!.

Anyways this is your heads up. I will post updates and info as needed.

Hope we see some new faces and more boats this year.

For those that haven't made it before, This show is a must see.
Folks from, literally, all over the world come to this show. Hundreds of static and floating displays.
Chachi and MOP came down a few years ago and said it's the equal of the Clayton show in NY.

I don't have my boat with me but I am down here at the show. I was here last year and dind't see any donzi's except for one orange one. I was at the show today to help setup and there are a lot of nice boats here. I think there are going to be more boats then last year.

Since I, and most others on this forum here, can not make it to this great Antique Boat Show~~~

WE need lots of pictures of these great old Antique Mahogany Speedboats !

Why not start a thread with lots of great photos !

Be sure to get photos of Chris~Craft Cobras & Triple Cockpits & Customs.

I especially like the old mahogany Gentleman's racer type of Garwoods, Hackers, Chris~Crafts, rare Dodge Watercars , Rivas ,etc.

And Don't forget the old Aviation engine powered race-boats~~~

& early fiberglass speedboats like Donzi, Century,Glasspar,Formula Jr. etc. !

Our Donzi "Classics" will soon be Antiques~~~
Just like US !

Also modern retro-style reproductions etc.

Let's get a photo thread of this Fantastic Lk Dora Antique Boat show going~~~

I'll try and get as many pictures as I can. The florida glasspar group is here with a ton of nice g3's theres a 20' bertram baron and a moppie. Lots of speed skiffs, and a couple old shovel nose hydro's.

Tom are you still in the Titusville area? I'm about 15 min. south in Rockledge. I bought a 1992 22 a few months ago. It hasn't been in the water in about 7 or 8 years and I could deffinetly use some advice. Let me know if you are still in the area.
