Sure hope this happens!!! We went down to the Hyatt two weekends ago and they fixed the place up REALLY nice!!

Room rates wern't to bad (150) soooo that shouldn't be a deal killer!!!

I was very fortunate to get involved with a great group of people that collectively call themselves the Midwest Donzi Club. They put on the run that many of you are getting ready to attend called the Awakening of the Horses.

Not to sound preachy, but putting on one of these things is a very big effort. There are three primary folks on the organizing and planning committee for the AOTH and a dozen others that pitch in when the dates come and people start pulling into Jamestown Marina.

I happen to have a pretty cool t-shirt of a dog in a Donzi holding up a beer mug. I was happy to get it as an honorary "SEADOG" or the Southeast Area Donzi Owner's Group, I believe.

I would suggest it would be time for a grassroots effort to make this happen with Mr. Miller at the tiller. I can't imagine he would turn down the help of a great group of people like the notorious SEADOGs.

Update:

Mike has been in negotiations with the Hyatt for some time. That is what is slowing the process down. He is still waiting for some numbers from them and should know more in the next week.

The proposed dates are the weekends Sept. 30 and October 7th. Which one won't be decided until he hears back from the hotel.

So... I am still dealing with Hyatt on prices and food and will release all info in ONE WEEK FROM TODAY (damn the torpedoes)!
