I know we've seen that boat here before - VERY nice boat; possibly my favorite 18.

What do you think he is asking for it. I could only hope that my 18 Barrelback comes out as well.... Love the dash by the way

Last year, I think it was, he challenged anyone here to buy it for $18K.
I never did figure out if he was serious or not.
What do y'all think?

If that boat doesn't bring more than 18K something is just plain wrong with the world.

I just showed it to Michele. She asked what we could get for our 22 in it's current state...

Trolling around AOTH pics prior years on MWDC's site, if this is the same boat, the "Flyin' Pumpkin",.....there's some great pics on there of Scott runnin' this fine machine like a scalded dog....more pics of it in the air than in the water.

Very nice. Done just the way I would do it. Wish it had a windshield though.

This thing is amazing and far too nice to have in salt water. Is that motor stock at 330HP? It would have been a better venue to have it at Barrett Jackson in Scottsdale last month to harness the full power of the "impulse buyer".

Well, I am also new here but only as a member. This guy Scott just plain doesen't respond to emails. Kudo's to the caliber of his boat, thumbs down to his interactive skills. Either the boat was for sale with '0' feedback bidders, or it was not for sale with an outragous reserve and he wanted to feel out the market or ....lastly it was for sale but the reserve was not met. In any case, a reply, no matter how short would be considerate. I guess he is just too busy compared to the rest of us except if that is the case he shouldn't list it.

Hey Scott, how about this cut and paste to save you timeI

... sorry sold
... not for sale anymore
... I'm too busy to respond

GMCARS. I did not get an email from you. As far as answering email about this boat when it pretaines to general information I answered every single one. When it was LISTED on ebay I answered every single email.

It will be re-listed again shortly. As far as the reserve...I must have had 20 emails about "What's the Reserve"? I will give out the reserve....sorry. 90% of the people on ebay will not let you know what their reserve is!!! If they did...what's the point of a reserve?? When you go to a high end car auction the auctioneer wont let you know what the reserve is.

honestly, that boat needs to come into good hands- I would never do ebay with a boat that nice. This is a beautiful, real classic in fantastic condition and will surely find the right buyer, but most probably not at ebays...just my opinion- no offense taken

Hi Scott,
I sent eBay member 'whtdobe' an email through Ebay February 10 at 3:42, again at 7:16 and once again on February 11 at 8:21. None rejected.
You mentioned they don't disclose the reserve at high end car auctions except you missed one thing. More than half the cars I have bought and sold are sold after the auction ends and reserves are not met. This is when the seller realizes he had all the activity there was on the block and then deals face to face.
Ebay will only use enough of a bidders money to reach the next level and become the highest bidder.
I have used eBay to sell dozens of cars but rarely do they actually sell on the auction itself. Many are in the six figures and to be honest, some very legitimate buyers just don't feel comfortable. Ebay is the best way for me to advertise my item to as many people from around the world.
I appreciate you letting us all know that it needs to be sold by auction and I meant no offence other than really wanted a quick response to let me know if it was available or not.
Best looking restoration I have seen...period. Good luck, Ward Edmonds
