Scroll down on the posting page to "manage attachments", it is good to check the size of the photos. They spread to wide if they are to big.

It does sorta look like a Donzi in the pic. Not all bad. But a single V-drive? That's an odd power package for something like this and it's going to seriously limit any performance potential as well as making it a bit of a handful around the dock.

I gotta think you'd be better off re-powering with a pair of small block stern drives...easy for me to say, it's not my money.

For some completely unknown reason, I had an image of "early Cigarette" go through my head when I saw the picture. Nothing more than an impression, but that was the first thing I thought.

By the looks of the one picture it could be one of these boats built by Lancer , Aero, PREDATOR, marine. These hulls came in all sizes 27', 28' & 31' as blanks or completed boats made here in Michigam. Many had Donzi, Magnum, Cigarette stckers on them. This could be one of them with a vee drive....

from the houston pic, my first guess would have been squadron...but i think it's an aero/lancer.

It would be pretty easy to convert to an outdrive.
Performance would be greatly enhanced.

When You drop the name Don Johnson, You are talking about Wellcraft Scarabs .It also appears that Donzi has taken the place of Cigarette when describing Deep V's. Or the annoying term "GO Fast Boat"

The original pilot episode of Miami vise featured a Chris Craft Stinger

1st season featured a Chris Craft 390x

this one was also used in the show but the 38kv is considered the boat that was primarily used and copied the paint scheme for production models

This is a Well Craft Scarab Excel. Don Johnson designed a version of Excel 43 Known as the DJSS "Don Johnson Signature Series" Powered by twin 650 HP Lamborghini V12's. He formed team USA and went on to win the Offshore World Cup in 1988. Allegedly he won the race in his own Scarab Excel 43.

May look a little like that Sutphen, but my money says Smidgen nailed it, DESPITE the listing saying it is a 31.

The two hatches described in the bow, the windshield, the unusual midship vent you see in the picture, AND the fact that it's a v-drive. I even think if you look closely, you can see the unusual slope of the transom. If it's not a 26 Cary exactly, I think it is a derivative of it.
