Alright guys,
Don't laugh too hard. This has got to be the gayest paint job I have ever seen. The boat will be going to the paint shop VERY soon.
I drove the boat for the first time today. . . . . . . she feels fast!!!!!!
Has some play in the steering. Will probably install external hyd first thing.
Flying Tomato, Lee
I drove 725 miles to get this boat!!!!! (One way)

You could also wrap the sides until you have a season under your belt with the hull. Looks real clean though

Not the worst!
Last year on another site, someone posted a picture of a 36 footer with paint showing hundreds of sperm swimming forward along the sides!:nilly:

No kidding!

Hey, Tomato, look over this thread and your boat is darn right purty! I love the Ice Cream Fountain on post #20.......http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/general-boating-discussion/236266-post-ugliest-boat-you-have-seen.html

You could sand those off. Takes time but works. There is plenty of white gel under.

The local sign painters use "Oven Off" to remove stuff like that, I have watched them many times. They test the surface first by spraying a small spot leaving it for about 15-20 minutes, they then clean it off and inspect for discoloration. Only a very few times have I seen the gel discolor, it got slightly yellow which was removed with compound. These guys change the names on transoms of some very expensive yachts, it is well worth a try it saves a ton of work.

Wet sand right through it. It will probably have an ever so slight face under then that will go away after a season.

I took the zebra stripes off CJMike's boat that way

Hey guy ,that paint job is not all that terribly bad , considering we all have seen worse . Flying Tomato , if you try to sand those areas with a D.A. might i recomend block sanding that area after doing any machine sanding because a D.A. will have a tendency to roll over the edge leaving somewhat of a hump. hey guy , if you can chemically remove it like MOP , suggested go for it because there are alot of alternatives out there that might very well work , and to tell you the truth nine times out of ten you most likely will have the best results just sanding it off and be done with it .

...when someone asks me if I can do a paintjob like this I always recommend to do this type of design with foil, so whenever you start hating it or want to sell the boat you can just peel it off and have a clean white hull. A simple design like this it makes no sense to do it with paint, it could be done with foil within 2 hrs...

I believe that is the very rare Venice Beach Rainbow Edition paint job. Could fetch extra dollars if you sell the boat in San Francisco or Miami Beach.
