what would a 460 ford motor buildt by galebanks be worth 1000 hp new sitting on shelf for 20 years

I would guess between 5 & 8 as it would have to be stripped down..

Make sure the exhaust 90's come with it...Ed

I Agree with Ed... that time allows alot of cast iron and cylinder walls to pit deep. even the Intake and turbo can erode depending on air conditions it was in..you would have to really want that combo to go higher than 5k.

im just stating what the seller is telling me he said its stated on paper work from gale banks engineering

I've got plenty of respect for Gale Banks, but 1000 hp from a 460 was a LOT of power 20+ years ago!

It would be a conversation piece though. Cooler than the average big Chevy just on the 'dare to be different' factor.

Get a hold of ROGER on here and ask what his 454 made in his f22..

12 lbs would be in the ballpark

Don't forget that stage 3 intercooler REALLY DROPS the intake temps..

Easy over a 100 if it is all in by 5300......................Ed


P.S. I ran a single carb as opposed to your dual setup

Knew too many people that switched to single too
