Not mine and don't know if it's a good price or not. Just thought I'd pass it along.

Thanks for posting for us Volvo users. If it were a 280T, I'd be making a phone call today

My thoughts exactly. Mike, it looks like I'm working on a short list of spring projects. You in? :biggrin.:

I believe it fits in the same hole, shouldn't be too hard. I think your boat could use an "Engine Out" once over anyway. it would be alot easier to address some of your pulley/bracket/alt issues. and some wiring love..

Yep, that is what I was thinking. How much trouble is it to install drive & the trim unit? I just happen to have one of the mid 70's power trim volvo drives & powertrim unit that is not being used a lot right now. The reason I was wondering about cost of install is that I would not mind lending David the unit which is already off a 1975 18 classic. I do believe between that & a new Solas prop, he may get his 60 mph or at least close. If it does work for him, he can buy one or Mhwaaahhh (evil Scientist Laugh) ? Seems like I have either a 24 or 26 Ultra Prop somewhere, although I truly believe the Solas would maybe do muuch better. Just thinking, Tom

Mike, let's talk soon. I agree that it would be best to get a little down and dirty...just need to decide exactly what and when. I'll give you a shout as soon as I thaw out.

Not sure. It would mostly depend on the size of the hole in the transom, and I don't know what size the Eaton is. Maybe someone w/a little more knowledge of those will chime in.

Yep, converting to a 280T from a regular Volvo drive assembly only requires a couple extra holes to accomodate the hoses as seen in this picture. The rest of the mounting holes are the same. I did this on my 1971 18' 2+3 restoration. Bill
