Missed this post a few weeks ago but glad I caught it now. Pretty cool story, I had heard that Billy Joel had designed a fast old style commuter but had no idea it was this big. The Aphrodite story is awesome. I live now and grew up on the gold coast and always thought about what it must have been like in the 20's and 30's. Billy Joel lives right near where I launch my boat and you pass right by his place on the way out of the harbor. Have not seen the Vendetta yet, maby this summer....
