which photo to purchase

Went on a lunch run in Sarasota new years day, and there was a photographer on a bridge, he got 4 decent shots of my boat, and I want to purchase at least one large print, which one do y'all like the best??

3 or 4. It's always nice to have a shot from the air since they are hard to get. How large are you talking about? You already have fairly large files of all four that could be blown up.

I'm with Carl. I like 3 or 4, with 4 the winner by a nose. The wind on your buddy's face gave me a laugh.

Although you can use those proofs and make yourself a decent pic, I'd send Pete the money so he can make you an official one. He shoots a lot of great boat pics, and it'd be nice to pay him. Not much $$ in the scope of this hobby. You can use the proof as a nice wallpaper on your computer at work.

# 4 is what I was thinking also, Pete only wants $45 for a 20x22 print, so I think I will purchase at least one(maybe more, but right now with christmas and all, things are a little tight), and support his hobby of taking pics of us.

it is a 24, it got a new transom with enlarged knees, stringers, and the bracket last year, it is going under the knife again soon to move the rear bulkhead back, and open up the back seat area, will also get new paint(silver), and new back seat upholstery at that time.

4 is more traditional, but in my view #2 is by far the best picture. FWIW.

here is a crude drawing of what the boat will eventually look like, just imagine the light grey as metallic silver, and the black as charcoal grey metallic, I didnt have enough skill to move the back seat back in the pic, but did white out the windscreen, which is another possible mod for this spring.

Whichever one u go with, have the font downsized for the final. His logo and name are way too large. Takes away from the photo's subject.

He will remove all of that, that is just hius watermark for proofs, he is however nice enough not to plaster it across the middle of the pic like some photographers.

Probably #2, and # 4 will be purchased, I like #3 also, but Ray looks like his cheeks are gonna wrap around his head, also 2 and 4 have more boat out of the water, 1 and 3 look like I am just cruising.

The power is just a stock 3 liter 250EFI fishin' motor with probably 1000 hours on it. The best I have seen is 60mph, I know with more setup, some mods, and a freshen on the motor I could maybe see 65, but funds are tight right now, just having fun with it.

Pay him for the large print of #4. Make your own 8x10s of the other 3. The photographer deserves some $ but he really should put his logo across the entire proofs like Sharkey does. Anyway, that's what I would do.
