I found a new (to me) fuel tank fabricator here in Florida; Bartow, to be exact.
The name is Best Fabricators, http://www.bestfab.com/
They've been around since 1975 and are USCG certified.
Anyway, I asked for an early Donzi 22 tank per RDS drawing, w/some changes;
Raise the top 1" for additional capacity.
1/2" supply, and 3/8" return, just in case someone needs it.
2" fill instead of 1-1/2".
Two tabs welded to the tank ends, at the top, one on each end.
A gauge flange but w/o gauge.

Anyway, they also offer coal tar epoxy coating for $50.00 extra. This is the only tank company so far I've found that'll do this.
The price came in @ $595.00 plus the coating.
Turnaround is 3-4 weeks.
Also, it's pretty close, so I can get it myself.
I think I'm going to be a customer, unless someone knows something I don't.

Sounds good the only thing I would check on is the coal tar steps, you and I went through a very thorough process when we did ours.

Yeah Phil, I mentioned that I'd done a couple that way, but he told me I couldn't do it as well as they could.
I think I'll let them do it.

George,

Had a couple of custom aluminum 65 gals tanks made by www.alloymetalworks.com (http://www.alloymetalworks.com) for the 27 Magnum this past summer. Recommended by Marshall (MDonziM) after he had his done for the Starfire...........of course, (Farmingdale, L.I.) is not in your vicinity, but the price was right $400 X 2 = $800..............................propane heater was extra :wink:

That sounds like really excellent pricing.
It is a bit far....

FWIW, raising the top 1" will increase capacity a little over 7 gallons to 62 gallons.
Now I need to sell enough water softeners to afford to fill it.

Thanks George,

I'm going to add 10-12 inches to the tank.
